Brand new this summer, for students in grades one through eight! Week long camps are a great introduction to theatre arts for elementary students, while middle school and junior high actors can immerse themselves in performing a full show.

East End Performing Arts is located in the Regent Square neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Housed in the Wilkins School Community Center, it is the goal of EEPA to bring an appreciation and understanding of music and theatre to the children of the surrounding neighborhoods. By interacting with like-minded classmates, it is my hope that students and parents alike realize that the arts can bring together people of all backgrounds, foster confidence, instill the values of team work, and inspire personal and artistic growth. The classes provide a safe environment in which students learn to “trust their instincts” and stretch themselves creatively. Students learn both from participating in scenes and from observing their classmates as they work.

Private music students are afforded the opportunity to work one on one with the instructor to reach their own goals and to further strengthen their abilities.

From time to time, visiting artists may address the students in class or hold workshops, so that the young artists may get an in-depth look at a particular topic.
